Animation
Working for several European companies, from the mid-90s to the mid-2000s, Elaine wrote scripts for animation geared to young children.

Troll Tales
“The Trouble With Trolls”
Three young trolls, Snapper, Tumbler and Willywee, have adventures with the other magical creatures of the forest, meeting the nixies, witches, wights and willow-the-wisps of Norse myth and legend. Elaine wrote Troll Tales scripts with her sister, Susan Norfleet, for the Danish company A-Film. In this episode, the Trolls run afoul of some troublesome fairies who don’t appreciate the troll trio ruining their spring flowers.
Troll Tales
“The Bog Hag”
Three young trolls, Snapper, Tumbler and Willywee, have adventures with the other magical creatures of the forest, meeting the nixies, witches, wights and willow-the-wisps of Norse myth and legend. Elaine wrote Troll Tales scripts with her sister, Susan Norfleet, for the Danish company A-Film. In this episode, the Trolls meet a willow-the-wisp and nearly have their toes eaten by the terrifying Bog Hag.
The Mooh Brothers
“Milling Around”
Wilton and Barton Mooh run their family farm, helped in this endeavor by Dolly the Donkey, Haley the Rooster, Lucy the Cat and the other farm animals. Complicating matters are two troublesome crows, Roscoe and Bosco, and Conley, a talking ear of corn. Elaine penned scripts for this cartoon for very young kids (3-5), and developed other titles for Belgian company, Niolan.
Games
Most people who do creative work understand that, occasionally, a project that includes many talented contributors will somehow not come together and will never be released. The Secret of the Black Onyx was one of these. Elaine wrote background story, series bible (with designer, David Nolte) and game events, as well as serving as director of motion capture. Roger Dean designed locations and architecture, Michael Kaluta characters and objects. Jaz Colman composed symphonic music, and Youth (Martin Glover) created ambient tracks for this sadly never-released game from Blue Planet Software.
Secret of the Black Onyx
Motion Capture “The Shamanka of Dragon’s Drop”
The motion capture footage and animation in this video were created in the 1990s. Please, forgive the low resolution, and the poor lighting in the motion capture clips. Though it suffers by comparison to the animation available today, the Onyx animation was cutting edge at the time. The clips were made as reference for the animators, not for public viewing. Motion capture artist Gwyneth Larsen plays the Shamanka, Richmond Johnston the Hero.
